FAQ

Questions We Get Before Someone Signs On

Straight answers about how our SEO, AEO and GEO process actually works — including the parts most agencies gloss over, like why it's an ongoing engagement and not a one-off job.

What's the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is about ranking higher in traditional Google results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is about being the direct answer pulled into a featured snippet, voice response, or quick-answer box. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is about being understood and cited by AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity when they answer a question directly. We treat these as one connected system rather than three separate services — see our SEO, AEO and GEO pages for more on each.

How does your process actually work?

Every engagement follows the same four stages. Audit & Strategy — we dissect your market, competitors and current funnel to map the shortest path to measurable growth. Build & Launch — your website, SEO foundation and automations are shipped in focused sprints, so you see progress every week. Rank & Convert — ongoing content and optimisation cycles push you up the rankings and turn that traffic into pipeline. Automate & Scale — AI systems handle the repetitive work, like follow-ups, qualification and reporting, so you can focus on delivery.

Is SEO, AEO and GEO a one-time project, or ongoing work?

It's ongoing. Search engines and AI systems continuously re-evaluate every website against competitors who are also actively working on their own visibility, so nothing stays fixed once it's set up. SEO, AEO and GEO are a journey, not a one-off job — rankings and AI visibility are built through cycles of research, implementation and refinement over months, not settled in a single project.

Why is there a 6-month minimum engagement?

Search engines and AI systems take real time to recognise, trust and act on changes. Technical fixes need to be crawled and re-indexed, new content needs time to earn authority, and AI systems need consistent signals before they reliably cite a source. A shorter, one-off engagement can't realistically complete a full audit, build and optimisation cycle, let alone show meaningful results. Six months is the minimum period needed to implement the work properly and let it start to compound.

What happens after the initial 6 months?

Work continues on a month-to-month basis, reviewed against the results and goals we've tracked together. Nothing is locked in beyond the initial 6 months without your agreement.

Can you guarantee a #1 ranking, or that AI tools will mention my business?

No — and any agency that promises this outright should raise questions. No one controls Google's algorithm or how an AI model chooses to answer a question. What we can control is the technical quality, content clarity and credibility of your site, which is what every stage of our process is built around.

How much does this cost?

Cost depends on your current site, competition and goals — a small local business and a business competing nationally need very different amounts of work. We start with a free audit that shows exactly what's involved before any commitment is made, so pricing is scoped to your specific situation rather than a flat rate.

How will I know it's actually working?

You get reporting dashboards showing what's actually happening — rankings, leads, and how your automated systems are performing. Progress is also visible directly during the Build & Launch stage, since work ships in weekly sprints rather than one large reveal at the end.

Do you only work with businesses in Adelaide, or across Australia?

We work with Australian businesses generally, with a particular focus on Adelaide and South Australian businesses, since local relevance is a major factor in how both Google and AI systems evaluate a business.

I just want SEO — do I need AI automation too?

No, it's optional, but the two compound well together. SEO, AEO and GEO increase how many people find and consider your business, while automation makes sure every one of those leads gets a fast, consistent response instead of sitting in an inbox. You can start with search visibility alone and add automation later if it makes sense for your business.

My business is small or in a niche industry — is this still worth it?

Local and niche businesses often see the clearest results, since there's usually less competition for the exact terms a local customer searches, and Google Business Profile and local SEO can make a real difference. The right approach depends on your specific market, which is exactly what the initial audit is for.
